One of the area’s best Thrift Shops offering high quality and affordable clothing for the whole family and a wide variety of household goods, books and toys. The ACA Thrift Shop provides an important service to the greater Astor community. The Thrift Shop is managed by Board member Ellen Brainard and staffed by a loyal group of ACA volunteers. Visit the Thrift Shop – you’ll be impressed with what you will find – and at a very affordable price. Astor t-shirts are also on sale at the Thrift Shop.
Donations are greatly appreciated. Please contact Ellen at the Thrift Shop Fridays and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM and bring items on those days if possible.
Items we cannot accept are TV’s, large/overstuffed furniture, mattresses, box springs, old used computers, etc.

Monthly Community Dinners offer themed meals prepared by skilled volunteer cooks, fellowship, and an opportunity to catch up on the news of the community. Special programs and speakers are presented throughout the year. The ACA’s Community Dinners are among the community’s special events and are well-attended. It’s a good place to meet neighbors and make new acquaintances.
COMMUNITY CENTER AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL BY GROUPS & INDIVIDUALS
In addition to the events and activities sponsored by the Astor Community Association, the Community Center is the site of a number of other major community events during the year, including Mrs. Astor’s Tea Party & Luncheon, the Hunter’s BBQ, the annual Astor Cemetery Breakfast, and the Blackwater Yacht Club’s annual Valentine’s Party. The Center is available for rent by organizations and individuals for special events, wedding receptions, graduation parties, and other gatherings. Information regarding rental fees and requirements may be obtained by contacting Vice President Gary Sparks (386-624-1922).
Tuesday Night is Mahjong and Poker, Wednesday is Poker, *Friday and *Saturday is Texas Hold’em – Starts 7:00 PM (All year)
It’s Poker and Mahjong at the ACA every Tuesday night! Every Wednesday night is Poker. And if the ACA is available on Friday and Saturday nights then we’ll be playing Texas Hold’em. Come join in the fun! Others games are always welcome.

Come join a dedicated class of Yoga practitioners as they work to strengthen their bodies and spirits with the help of skilled instructor Nancy Graves. If Nancy is unavailable Yoga videos will be used.
Join group leader Beth McKeeton for an hour of aerobic exercise and fellowship three mornings each week. Participants engage in an active walking program utilizing the various videotapes available for the program. It’s a great walk to stay healthy.

Whether you are a full time resident of Astor, a “snowbird” part time resident, or just visiting the area, we welcome you to our community here on the beautiful St. John’s River and invite you to become familiar with our community association. As you travel through our website, you will see that we offer a number of programs and activities throughout the year at our Astor Community Center. We invite you to join us for any of these activities and events. Come back to our website regularly to obtain updates on what is happening at the ACA and in our community. The Astor Community Center is located at 24148 Ann Street in Astor.
We also invite you to consider becoming a member of the ACA we currently have a membership of just over 200 and would be happy to add you to our roster of members. Annual dues are only $15.00/person.
