One of the area’s best Thrift Shops offering high quality and affordable clothing for the whole family and a wide variety of household goods, books and toys. The ACA Thrift Shop provides an important service to the greater Astor community. The Thrift Shop is managed by Board member Ellen Brainard and staffed by a loyal group of ACA volunteers. Visit the Thrift Shop – you’ll be impressed with what you will find – and at a very affordable price. Astor t-shirts are also on sale at the Thrift Shop.
Donations are greatly appreciated. Please contact Ellen at the Thrift Shop Fridays and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM and bring items on those days if possible.
Items we cannot accept are TV’s, large/overstuffed furniture, mattresses, box springs, old used computers, etc.

Monthly Community Dinners offer themed meals prepared by skilled volunteer cooks, fellowship, and an opportunity to catch up on the news of the community. Special programs and speakers are presented throughout the year. The ACA’s Community Dinners are among the community’s special events and are well-attended. It’s a good place to meet neighbors and make new acquaintances.
COMMUNITY CENTER AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL BY GROUPS & INDIVIDUALS
In addition to the events and activities sponsored by the Astor Community Association, the Community Center is the site of a number of other major community events during the year, including Mrs. Astor’s Tea Party & Luncheon, the Hunter’s BBQ, the annual Astor Cemetery Breakfast, and the Blackwater Yacht Club’s annual Valentine’s Party. The Center is available for rent by organizations and individuals for special events, wedding receptions, graduation parties, and other gatherings.
